Wednesday 17th May - walks **** Short prom and then Levington to Nacton Shores - sunny periods.

As it was supposed to cloud over later today, I had a quick walk down to the seafront at the end of the road to make the most of the early sunshine around 9 to get a few pics to send into the local TV weather and was lucky enough to get one on Chris Pages ITV About Anglia forecast this evening:) Todays point of interest was a small fishing boat anchored near the pier, it was a beautiful start to the day with calm seas and sunshine. Back home for breakfast and out in the garden to do my exercises while Mag goes to the physio for her arm, she was impressed with the progress Mag has made by doing loads of exercises, far from being right but getting slowly better.
Then I back a picnic and we drive over to Levington Church to have lunch with the usual stunning views down to the Orwell with at least 20 deer resting by the reeds, the sun had mainly disappeared but it was not cold despite the breeze coming in from the east! We then walk down to the wooden path through the reeds leading to the River Orwell, turning right we take the upper path through the beautiful woods with a variety of wild flowers with lovely views across to Pin Mill. You get to see something new every day, first we see a lady in a wetsuit with a snorkel carrying her flippers crawling through the mud to get out of the river, then at Nacton Shore we see a metal detectorist in the mud, his detector was bleeping well so it looks like he was finding loads of stuff! We then head inland taking the woodland bridle way to the Levington Road which we cross taking the footpath up to the horse paddocks at the top end of Levington Village and back to the van. Getting knackered now we were pleased to get back to the van, I am suffering we both knees now but we still manage to walk around three miles everyday!
